If you wish to use our services, here's how it works

Please be courteous and respectful.  Our mission is to empower families, and we expect all clients to treat our team with courtesy and respect.

Please add as much factual detail as possible when completing our Support Enquiry Form.

Times, dates, the issue as described by your child’s school (in correspondence) and please add the outcome you are seeking (I want the exclusion removed from my child’s record).  It is important to include as much detail as possible to help us to understand what support we can provide.

We will request copies of all correspondence and documents related to your case.  You must forward these promptly to enable us to advocate for your family/ child. Failure to forward the requested documentation may;

  • delay us in securing an advocate

  • hinder their ability to represent you.

  • result in us closing your case.

Your privacy and data will be protected in accordance with CEN’s GDPR policyand all data outside of our secure CRM will be deleted upon completion of each case.

Please listen to our advice.  Our advocates are trained to secure the best outcome for the child they are representing. Please ask questions and listen to their advice to ensure that you make informed decisions.  This is about your child, the last word will be yours.

Please do not share your advocate's contact details. They are volunteers with a right to privacy. If you are aware of others who may benefit from CENs Advocacy support, please refer them to complete our Support Enquiry Form.

Please be patient with us.  CEN is a charity with a small but committed team with limited capacity.  We will always do our best to support and advise those who approach us for help but there may be occasions when we may have to refer you to progress or escalate your case.

If you are happy (or not) with our services, we want to know. Please help us improve by informing us via the ‘Have Your Say’ section on our website where there are both opportunities to feedback or advise us of your complaint.

CEN is an independent charity and is not supported by any statutory body. As such, our resources are limited because the service we provide to families is free. Consequently, we rely upon and welcome donations to fund our work. If you would like to offer your support (financial or as a volunteer), please do so via our website.

To understand what you can expect from CEN in relation to our Advocacy support please read our Parents Charter below.
