CEN launched our ‘Empowered Parents’ campaign as part of our Parents Empowering Parents (PEP) programme through sharing 10 top tips on how to advocate for your child from our Parent Coordinator and received a fantastic response.

In our next phase of the campaign, we wanted to take the discussion to our community, so we reached out to parents and guardians and asked what being an empowered parent means to them, in a bid to look further into what it means to be a confident parent. We know that there are no right answers and have loved hearing all of your unique responses, your advice for other parents or guardians and really understanding what parenthood means to our society has been enlightening.

Now in the third phase of the campaign, we have widened our reach to teachers, education leaders, and all individuals who support children and parents along their journeys, asking “how have you empowered a parent” and “what can we do as education leaders to help empower parents?” As we know, a strong community and support system for parents to feel empowered is key for the child’s educational journey.
